I don’t really know if those prices are okay for Canada or not. I know that the price of flowers can really fluctuate depending on whether the type of flower you want is in season at the time of your wedding, or whether it needs to be brought in from very far away. (For instance, will calla lilies be in season? If not, from how far away will they need to be shipped?) One idea is to ask for smaller bouquets…you can use fewer flowers. Or ask the florist to beef up the bouquet with “filler” (greenery and baby’s breath for example). Ask for a price on the flowers per stem…I’m in Ohio and in the summer calla lillies run around $8 per stem (they’re spring flowers, but they can be grown in the summer in my area). After you add up the cost of all the stems, subtract it from the quote and you’ll have a good idea of the florist’s “labor” charges. Then you can decide if it’s reasonable or not.

 Good luck!
