So my wedding colours are primarily grey and yellow with a hint of teal and white. I did not want yellow bridesmaid dresses and decided to go with charcoal grey that looks like this (NOT the dress, but just the colour):
Fiance insists on also having grey suits that look this:
Is there going to be enough contrast in colour? We’re going to accessorize with yellow and teal. Bouquets and bouts will be yellow and white. Jewellery will be yellow and teal. Shoes will be yellow for the girls, and the guys will have yellow ties or teal ties.
Is that going to add a splash of colour? We’re getting married in a garden with tons of flowers but I’m worried that our bridal party is going to be washed out.

I think that’s going to look great together! I love the idea of yellow and grey!

I love gray and yellow as a color combination! I think its really modern. If it were me, I would let the primary colors be gray, then yellow, then little touches of teal. And yes, I think that will be enough color. Think about it like when you paint a room a color–when you first put it on, you’re like “BAM! That’s really (purple, blue, etc.). But when you put the stuff back in, you don’t notice it as much. So don’t worry about looking like a wall of gray in a garden; it will be beautiful!

@blueskye: Truthfully, I think that will look very classy, and perfect for a summer wedding. We’re doing standard black tuxes (white shirts) and black dresses for the girls, so I was worried about the same thought (them looking blah). But i think adding the yellow and teal will really brighten them up. I really love the color scheme you’ve chosen!

I’m doing charcoal dresses also, but black tuxes. However I am getting married in Fall, so I wanted it all darker. Love your accent colors, ours are dark reds and burgundy.

I think the dress and suit are lighter and darker of the same basic color, which will be enough contrast and will look great.

I think it’ll look great together. The bridesmaids are darker so they don’t clash while still being cohesive. I really love them together.

Ok thanks everyone! It’s getting down to the wire (well less than 3 months but still!) and I guess I’m just starting to second guess stuff.
Thanks for all your input, it makes me feel a lot better 🙂
