I have a question about heartburn.
I’m 6 weeks and 3 days today. Up to now, the only real pregnancy symptom I’ve had is exhaustion. Starting this week, though, I’ve been feeling a new one. Pretty much throughout the day, every day, I feel a sensation that I can only describe as hunger. I even feel it right after I eat. I’ve never had heartburn before so it’s hard for me to say whether this is it, or whether this is just a general queasiness that could be the onset of morning sickness.
Thoughts? Anyone experience something similar?

Heartburn burns. And it’s really high up at the top of your stomach – like under the ribs, way bottom of esophagus. This sounds like something else…

I second Mrs Green Grass – I get heartburn and acid reflux completing un-associated with pregnany and it really burns and tastes gross. Definitly doesn’t feel like hunger! 🙂 So I’m guessing you’re experiencing something else although I don’t have any insight into what it might be.

I think you’re actually just….still hungry. When I was that far along, I was ravenous and got shaky/dizzy if I went more than a couple hours without snacking.

I had a stomach ulcer, and I had very intense hunger-like pains with it. Not sure if you have “pain” but I remember feeling like I was reeeally hungry, so I figured I’d share.
It would get worse when I was hungry and in the middle of the night. Once my doctor put me on some acid reducing medicine for a few weeks, I was fine. Maybe you could have something similar? I’d tell your doctor about it if it’s bothering you. My issue was very easily resolved.

Thanks for the responses.
This definitely doesn’t sound like heartburn!
I just can’t imagine that this is me still being hungry. The other night I had a very big dinner, almost twice what I usually eat, and after I could physically feel that my belly was full but I still had this hunger-like feeling. It was really bizarre.
I’m seeing my doctor for my first ultrasound on the 14th, but I’ll put in a call next week about this.
