When we moved into our house a couple of years ago our neighbor brought us cookies and introduced herself. I thought it was so sweet. I think your neighbors will like it too!

We’ve always brought cookies to the neighbors! No one has ever acted like it was lame or weird. It’s sweet, do it!

daniellemc :  I literally can’t wait to do the same thing when we get into our first house (hopefully within the next 6 moths)! I love baking but we don’t keep sweets in the house so I always look for chances to bake and give. Plus, it never ever hurts to be the sweet neighbors who say hi. That’s how you get included in everything from community yard sales to block parties or even just your neighbors knowing who you are and vice versa (in the event of anything suspicious).

Go for it!

I did it with our move last summer. I don’t like to bake but I make my kid spinach muffins he loves so I made a few extra for the little girl next door. They loved it! We are really good friends now!

I wish my neighbors had brought me cookies when they moved in.

Instead they brought destructive, asshole children.

Do it! My family has a long standing joke with my parents’ neighbors, because when they moved in my dad marched over there and demanded a bundt cake. LOL, that’s just the type of guy he was. We all still laugh about it ๐Ÿ˜€

I think its a great idea. Just make sure somehow check for allergies/diet restrictions before baking cookies they can’t eat.

I think it’s lovely.  Our neighbors brought us small gifts/treats when we moved in and it was greatly appreciated.

I think it’s great! Our neighbor just brought over a plate of watermelon slices last weekend while we and a couple friends were working on our yard. It was mighty appreciated, especially because it was a scorching hot day ๐Ÿ™‚

We just moved in last week and our neighbor brought us jerk chicken, salad, and bread. He runs a catering company out of his house and I think that was the best way to make friends with us!

Super cute idea! I’m not too big on eating stranger’s baked goodies but it’s still a great idea.
