@kimmo416:  if it’s any conselation, I love my pyrex bowls.

I think you’re being generous.  She shouldn’t expect you to give her a gift at both showers.

I think its perfectly fine!! Its something she registered for so its something she wants/needs. I’m sure she knows that attending two showers requires you to spend more than you normally would. I wouldn’t be worried.

I am always the person at baby showers that gives car seat bases, crib liners, etc when everyone else is giving cute clothing. Someone has to get the practical stuff!

Dude, I love pyrex! I’d be thrilled to get the ones on my registry. 😀 One of my friends got me a meat tenderizer hammer thing and a lemon zester. Totally awesome. I think you’re being way generous. I’m in college right now and FI foots our bills too, so I totally know how money can be. With our wedding, we set a limit of $60 per attendant, which, on here, is totally looked down upon, but we just can’t go crazy and spend $800 on everyone lol!

Also, I got towels and a skillet for my bridal shower. It was awesome. XD Stuff that you can get and think of who gave it to you every time you use it totally rules. 😀

@kimmo416:  It’s absolutely not lame at all! I loved my pyrex kitchenware (pre-divorce), and have some on my current registry, just in case. I think it’s a great gift, especially if it was from the registry. 🙂

I think it’s acceptable to split the amount. Honestly, I think most people do; they just don’t necessarily say it aloud. I think it’s a great gift and it’s nice that it’s still something she registered for.

I’m amazed you’re getting her a gift for both showers! I definitely didn’t expect or want gifts from anyone in the bridal party. They were doing so much for us already!

If she judges you by what you can/ can’t afford, she’s not a good friend. Don’t feel crappy!

I’m sure what’s most important to her is that you’re there to support her in this special time. Rock that Pyrex!!!
