How much is extra fabric? Because of how the dress is, all the same material, and minimal embelishments, I think adding tulle or lace or anything would look odd. However the dress is gorgeous!

In those pictures you are not on the ground. Have you tried the dress with 3 inche heels? i wonder if it would look fine as is since there is a train in the back, maybe the shoes would just peek out in the front. It looks like you have aout an inch of fabric overhang as is so you may be able to pull off 2-3 inch heels or I could just be seeing it differnetly a you are standing on a step.

Go to a good, reputable seamstress and discuss with them.  I think if you added some fun tulle underneath it would look great.  Kind of a “peak-a-boo” thing.  To make it look more “natural”, you could always cut some of the front away and make the tulle extension more prominent – like it was the original design of the dress.  I’m sure you’ve seen examples of what I’m talking about, but in the mean time, I will look for pictures for you to give you some ideas.

PS – The dress looks great on you!

omg..you look amazing in this dress. The fabric looks like butter! I can’t answer your question about the hem, but I would ask if there is extra fabric in the hemline and about how much so that you can take it into account when you go shoe shopping.
