    I always pronounced Nevada as Nev-AH-da.

    We pronounce it Nev-ad-a here in the southwest, so that is the way I would say it.

    @Rose_Dust:  Nev-AD-a. I’m from a neighboring state, so I feel like I’ve got a good handle on how to pronounce it.

    Side note: I also hate when people mispronounce Oregon.
