We just met with a photographer that I loved but I have a little concern. On the package pricing sheet it says that an engagement session is included with 10 images for the one package and 15 images for the next package up.
10 images? Does this seem really low to you? I’m pretty sure she’s not just talking about 10-15 retouched images. I think she means just 10-15 images on CD.

why do you think she means non-retouched images? i’d say the immediate assumption would be that you get 10 final images, but she’ll probably take 100 or more. we got about 35 or so final images, out of who knows how many, which is the standard my photographer happens to set. and of course they were edited and re-touched.

I would ask them speicifically about it. We had about 40 some pictures from our photographer, all retouched.

I do plan to follow up with her about it tomorrow I just thought I would get an idea of whether it was normal or not before I brought it up with her.
I think it’s 10-15 images in general because it’s in the same context as the others like:
Package 1 – 8 hours of photography, CD with all of your images (500-700 images), engagement session with images on CD (10 images)….

asking the photog is the best and only way to be 100% clear on what the package includes

Definitely ask. We got about 20 “fine art” edits, but over 100 slightly retouched proofs that would be edited more should we buy prints.

We got ~340 edited photos from our e-session and they are *awesome.* A few are duplicates– both in color and B&W. Our photographer is super chill and after taking pictures we went and hung out with her family at the beach for a BBQ where she took even more pictures. So I know that we got more pictures than most people typically get, but there’s no way I’d pay to only get 10-15 final pictures. Also, our e-session was included in our photography package and had no time limit for the session.
