(Closed) Is this normal for this fabric? Bunching up….

My guess is that the hook is pulling the fabric below it up a little.  The dress looks fine in the first picture, so if the only difference is the hook, I’d leave it undone.

My gown was bunching around my hips at my final fitting.  The bunching was gone on my wedding day after I had lost a couple of pounds because of stress.

Is the hook necessary? If that’s the only difference, I say leave it undone!

It looks like the waist hook is sitting in the wrong place and tugging the fabric with it. Could they move it or is it secure enough without?

Can you get someone to come over so you can try it on again and leave the hook undone?  Then you’d know for sure.

Are you sure it’s not the lighting in the photo? You’re in a bright environment in the first one and a low light environment in the second one. Low light like the second one can make the best fitting dress look shadow-y and uneven.
