Is this outfit too much for me to wear to my rehearsal brunch?

I think it’s very lovely. Wear it and feel confident in your choice!

It’s a little dour. I would brighten it up and do something a bit more light for this kind of event, and probably not a dark/long skirt 🙂

I like the top! Just get a shorter, lighter skirt to got with it. Like a pink tulle

I love the top but agree that it needs a lighter colored and maybe shorter skirt

I love it! I like dark & moody for a fall wedding.

I like it. You should wear your hair in a medium high pony tail with loose curls at the end. Since the shirt looks like a turtle neck I think a necklace would look nice with subtle earrings and maybe a few bracelets. If you really want to get bold, I would find a lipstick that matches your skirt and rock it!

I don’t think it’s enough and feels very young. It’s all very… big? Loose? It doesn’t show that you’re a lady, a woman. Where are your hips? Where is your waist?

Love it! I think the skirt colour looks gorgeous with your hair colour 🙂

OP: I agree with PPs that a shorter skirt would look better. Not short-short, just not floor length. A straighter silouhette would complement the top better too.  You might also consider a sheath dress – I saw some cute ones at Macy’s. Some had just slightly nipped in waists, others had a soft side ruche.

aliencereal :  The outfit  you posted does not say “brunch”; it is more of an option for the evening. Since you seem to like lace, perhaps you could consider something like this:

Personally, I rather like it. O don’t think it looks  young, and I don’t think brunch is the occasion to go body-con. I’d do a fun hairstyle and maybe some fun jewelry. You look great!
