Too sheer and low cut for me.

I think it’s pretty if it’s going to be lined.

I would say it’s one of Pnina’s classier dresses…..since it’s not COMPLETELY see through 🙂

Pnina is too over the top for me, but I do think she makes beautiful dresses! I think that the sheer top is risque, but not trashy. I saw you say you’re lining it, so you won’t even have to worry about that. As long as you are comfortable and it’s in line with your style, I say go for it if you love it!

@babypearls:  I’d have to see more pics to tell for sure (like the first one is really small). If it’s see-through then I’d say it’s more on the trashy side.

It kinda depends on who is wearing it, though. Like on Say Yes to the Dress, the chicks with the peroxide blonde hair and huge fake boobs look trashy in the see-thru Pninas.

I think you can easily have the dress altered to make it less see-thru if that bugs you.

I think if you want to wear a dress like this, you have to be confident enough to pull it off. If you’re constantly adjusting and pulling it up and worrying, you’ll look like the dress is wearing you. If you’re getting married in a church it might not be appropriate. Really though I think you should go with whichever dress you like the best.

I love some Pninas while others I do think look cheap/trashy… just depends.

If it’s lined and you love it–go for it!  I don’t like the see-through styles, but that’s personal taste and preferences for a religious ceremony.  My tastes tend to go more simple than flashy so it wouldn’t work for ME, but I’ve watched all 5 seasons (plus the one in Atlanta) of Say Yes to the Dress and seen lots of gals try them on/buy them and they look AMAZING on the right person.

Honestly? It depends on the body type wearing it. I think a dress like this would look best on someone who is thin and not as curvy as the model in the first photo. I think having curves is lovely but a dress like this may over accentuate them in areas that don’t need as much accentuating so to speak

I think the neckline more than the translucency of the bodice is what makes it trashy.  You can fix the bodice by having it lined, you can’t really “fix” the neckline.  It’s not what I would consider classy.

If there is actual solid fabric in the boned part so it isn’t fleshy toned then it’s pretty. Otherwise I don’t get why anyone would want all their friends and relatives to see them in what looks.like a lingerie top. Save the see through for the honeymoon. Also totally depends on how chesty you are. A bigger girl with that low of a top will look way.less classy than a smaller chested girl.

A lot of these dresses look like that cheesy honeymoon lingerie to me.

@soy:  +1. A certain body type with big boobs would take that dress into trashy land unfortunately. If you cover the panels and fix the neckline it’ll be fine, but then it wouldn’t really be a pnina.

@babypearls:  You have a gorgeous figure and I honestly think this dress (probably any dress) would look amazing on you! I think this one would be worth trying on for sure
