Just met with the first of the florists I’m considering for our wedding. He quoted roughly $1,300 for the following:
- My bouquet – roses, orchids, and calla lillies
- 7 bridesmaids’ bouquets – roses, orchids, and calla lillies
- Fiance’s boutonniere – calla lily
- 8 groomsmen’s boutonnieres – roses
- 2 corsages for our moms – orchids
- 2 boutonnieres for our dads – orchids
- Pipe and drape ceremony arch, with curly willows and orchids attached
Does $1,300 seem like a good price for all that? I’m meeting with other florists soon too, but I wanted to get a sense of whether that’s high, low, or average for what I’m getting. Thanks in advance!!

Sounds about average to me, if not a bit on the low side. I’m in northern / central NJ and I’m paying about $2,500 for what you listed, minus the ceremony arch, plus 12 centerpieces and 2 ceremony arrangements. I would say the centerpieces and ceremony arrangements add about $1,500 to the total bill, so I think we’re in the same ballpark.
On the other hand, if you go with Costco or Whole Foods for your bouquets and bouts, you could probably get everything for $500 – $800, plus the cost of the ceremony arch. The drawback there is you have to set up and deliver everything yourself.

That quote doesn’t include centerpieces though… I’m hoping to DIY those because the quote he gave me seemed very high. Is that still a reasonable price considering that it does NOT include centerpieces?

Seems like the consensus is average or a bit lower?

I think that sounds about right. I am getting My bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 6 boutonnieres, 2 corsages, flower arch for ceremony, flower clusters for the cake, 10 small centerpieces and 6 mid-size centerpieces for about $1,800 in Southern California.
