I want to include this on our wedding website but is it rude?
Is there a nicer way to say no kids?
I will also being putting under reception we are having an adult only reception.
Should I put Adult only please no on under the age of 16?
Ceremony will begin at 7p.m.
Followed by Cocktail Hour
We are having an adult only ceremony; please no children.

I would just put adult only reception and leave it at that. When no children under the age of 16 are invited i think they will get the point. Unless you think your families wont get the message, then i would add no children under the age of 16. I plan on inndicating that our reception is adults only on our website too so i dont think its rude and its a good place to get the information out.

I agree with putting “Adult Only Reception” and that’s it. I think the second part is the part people are going to be more offended with.

just say adult only reception.
i guess it’s up to the parent’s discretion whether or not they think their teen is an adult or not. i remember growing up, when my parents went to ‘adult only’ receptions, they didn’t bring any of us, even when some of us were over the age of 18.
