@Excited To Bee:   I think these are cute and playful!, but not in a bad way. I’d hang this on my fridge and be happy to look at it all the time.

I like it, it is indeed fun & playful.

BUT be aware, that if you are using a similar theme for BOTH your Save-The-Date Cards and Invites… that you are:

    (a) Definitely sending a message that your Wedding will be fun, casuall, playful etc.  (Great if that is what you have in mind… so don’t make anything else uber formal… run with informal if that is what you want).  Example… don’t plan for a 5 course sit-down dinner with Roast Beef as the main course NOR a Designer Gown with Glitter, or guys in 3 pc Tuxedos.

    (b) As you’ve used the Dots on 2 pcs of stationery… consider a 3rd element (any good design / art student will tell you stuff comes in 3s).  So either feature Dots at your Wedding / Reception… or on your Thank You Cards (or BOTH).

    Hope this helps,

I think it would better without the dots but that’s just my opinion.

I really like it! And I actually don’t mind the dots. I don’t think it’d hurt without them, but I also don’t mind it with. ๐Ÿ™‚

TO @Excited To Bee:  Thanks for sharing your Invite Draft

(altho I would have edited out some of the more personal info for posting on a PUBLIC Forum… remember you can edit up to 1 hour from the time of posting)

Lol, miles apart.  Not at all what I imagined when you said “Dots” on both of them.

Your Invites tell me that it is a semi-formal event, with maybe a springtime theme, and that you might like flowers.

Black & White says more serious than less so (lol, so you are off the hook for Dinner… bring on the 5 Course Sit-Down Meal).

    Hope this helps,

PS… For the record… There is no reason in truth that one’s Save-The-Date Cards and Invites have to match… (STDs can certainly be something different… light-hearted & fun… in that they’ve now replaced in many cases Traditional Engagement Announcements).  So you are fine on that front.

I love it since that’s our wedding date too! But seriously, I don’t really critique things like this when I receive them, so I would just think, “Hey, that’s great!” and mark my calendar. If I had to analyze, the only thing that’s stands out as something I might change is the bright pink font. I like the dots, they help occurpy some of the space in a way that appeals to me for some reason I can’t explain…

@Excited To Bee:  I love your STD’s and invites! I also love that you are using dots, as polka dots is our ‘theme’ for our black, white and red wedding. ๐Ÿ™‚
