Is there a polite way to say quit worrying about what other people think?  If I was your family or friend, I would appreciate hearing what you’ve been up to!  Just think of it as starting a tradition that will expand to include your kids later, and celebrate the family that you already are together!  πŸ™‚

“yes, photo xmas cards are for when you have a family” – You already have a family. I am assuming you are alluding to “family” meaning “have children”. However, my husband and I do not intend to ever have children, but he is still most definitely my family. The card is awesome. I think you should send them. And your kitty is adorable.

I think they are fine. You are sharing your year with your friends and family.

Re your poll option “photo xmas cards are for when you have a family”– I would like to point out that a married couple are a family, they just don’t have children.

Someone seriously said photo x-mas cards are just for “families?” I got a few photo cards last year, and only one was of a family. I loved getting nice pictures of my friends and family so I could start filling up my fridge with cute pictures!

So, therefore, I think it’s uber cute and as @jjmomma: it’s a new tradition you can start!

I think they’re adorable! And definitely just the right amount of information, too. It’s  a nice way for people to catch up with you without having to read like, 5 pages (not that I have relatives that send out 5 page newsletters every year….haha).

My mom used to recap the year and send out her version of a photo card and I love having them now to share with our extended families…

@redherring: I was JUST about to say that. The phrase “have a family” grates on my nerves – we ARE a family already πŸ™‚

@Baileyh: I think it’s great! And I’m typically one of those people who dislike the ones where people update on their lives in a long letter style, but yours is short, concise, and very pretty. We are sending out picture cards of just the two of us so I say do it!

You know what?  A lot of people really want to hear from the newlywed couples, because sometimes you don’t really get to hear much after the wedding. I’m sure they’ll be interested to see/read this.  It’s very cool.  It’s also a great keepsake for you both.
