So I’ve been going back and forth and having some doubts about my dress. I love love love the way it fits me. I’m a plus-size girl and am proud of my curves and I feel like this dress really accentuates what I love about my body. The problem is I just don’t know if I feel like it’s a “once in a lifetime” kind of dress because it’s so plain. To give you some background, I’m getting married in the Catholic church I grew up in and then having the reception in this gorgeously redone barn out in the country! The reception will be somewhat informal and we’re only having a best man and a maid of honor to keep things simple. My photographer’s style is vintage-y with soft focus and soft colors so I thought this dress would fit into that. I’m also hoping to have a few pics done with cowboy boots and a little cardigan.
So ladies, is this my dress or do I sell it and keep searching?? (This pic is the sample so it’s a bit tight in the bust) Or do I keep this dress and try to have them make it into more of a sweetheart neckline? (Not knowing anything about sewing, I’m not even sure how possible this is).
Thanks for your help!

I think this is a beautiful dress and you look great in it, but I think you should keep looking until you find something that really wows you. You have a lot of time, so keep looking! Believe me, when you find “THE DRESS’ you will know!
I hope this helps!

I think it looks GREAT on you! How do you FEEL when you’re wearing it? My dress is very plain too, but everytime I put it on, I *know* it’s the one.

i love this dress and it looks amazing on you. but i am bias because this was the dress i fell in love with. the reason i did not get it was because i also fell in love with a dress that was on clearance…so of course the clearance dress won 😉

I think the dress looks beautiful on you and I think it will fit perfectly with the type of wedding a photographs that you are wanting. Sometimes less is more. The simplicity is what could make the pictures turn out great. I say keep it but if you are unhappy with it then you should get one that you are totally in love with. Just remember that not all girls have that “this is the one” moment.

I also think you look great, however, you will know when you find the one. Don’t rush into anything. You can always go back for it.

Is there anyone out there with photoshop who might be able to photoshop me a little sweetheart neckline? The alterations people said it would be pretty easy to do but I would love to have some idea what it would look like before I committed to it.
Thanks ladies. I so so so appreciate the help!

I don’t think it’s a plain dress at all! The neckline also looks great with the subtle sweetheart (the way it is now)

I really love this dress on you. It will look absolutely amazing with a cardigan and cowboy boots, too! It’s awesome.
