I’m trying to choose an e-ring and have been trying some different things on. For the longest time I thought I wanted a 3ct center stone.. then I realized that it was way too huge on my finger as I really love the cushion cut with a halo. I tried on this Tiffany Soleste, it’s 2.37ct with the double halo on my size 5.5 finger. Is this still too much?! We agreed on something around the 2-2.5ct stone range (not Tiffany!!!$$$) and I left it up to him whether he opt for a single or double halo. But now I’m worried it may be too much? Maybe the single halo is the best option for that stone size on me?? Helpppppppp….
(and I apologize for my nails I’m growing them out after having fake ones on for the longest time)

if you can afford it and love it, I say go for it! 🙂 It looks beautiful on you!

I think it looks fine. It does take up your entire finger though, so I’m sure some will think it’s way too big. I think it’d be best if it were a single halo. But if you can afford it, go for it.

Personally I think that looks pretty big and fairly ‘cocktail-ring-ish’ on your finger. I would definitely stick to a single halo – but even that will still look quite large as you have relatively small fingers.
Have you considered just getting the stone as a solitair? Otherwise I would go 1.8-2ct with a halo.

Wow, that’s a lot of finger coverage! If that is your goal, the ring is fine. I personally would want more everyday wearability, so I would prefer a smaller stone and/or forgo the halo(s).

It’s really lovely but too big for my taste. I would go for a smaller stone with a double halo or a bigger stone with a single halo. I have simple tastes though. If you love it, go for it.

I like to actually see the finger sporting the ring, so I think it’s too big for your finger. However, if you only want to see bling, it’s fine.

To me that’s a cocktail ring and will attract a buttload of attention, especially if you throw a double halo on it. It’s very much LOOK AT MY GIANT EXPENSIVE RING YALL ISNT IT SO BIG But hey, if thats what you’re after, go for it. Only opinion that really matters is you and you Fiance.
I would try on the sizes your considering before hand though. Try a massive soleste at Tiffany even if you buy it elsewhere or order a CZ version.

Thank you both!
I feel like I am starting to lean to a single halo now the more I look back at this picture.. I love the “bling” as I don’t wear much jewelery and always envisioned a big beautiful ring that stood out but I don’t want it to look fake or gaudy!
I’ve tried on solitaires and think they look really elegant but a little too plain for me I think
what do you mean by wearability? As in not being too flashy, or the ring getting in the way?

I loveeeee it! Go for it (:

I think it looks great. A 2-2.5 carat cushion will look great in a single or soleste style halo. Im a fan of good finger coverage 🙂 get what you love!
