irishtiger: we definitely won’t be sacrificing cut for size – looking at it in natural light is a great tip to see the brilliance, thank you! I will definitely shoot you a message when we get further into looking at stones!! 😀
seeker: the lighting wasn’t great but this won’t be the stone we go with – just a try on!
glitz91: I’ve been wondering about the ring looking fake to be honest, I feel like that’s why I’m leaning towards single halo now – I don’t want too much going on that detracts from it

It’s pretty but it looks like a cocktail ring. If I saw it on the street, I would never think it’s a real diamond. But, if you love it that’s all that maters.

It’s beautiful!! But it is large, I would worry about wearability but if it feels good go for it!!
I know you love halos, but have you seen it as a solitare? It’s sooooo pretty but I almost feel like sometimes a halo takes away from a big beautiful stone.
But it then again I have a halo, so what do I know 🙂

Nope not to much. Very pretty. Mines over 2ct and I have a 5.14 finger 🙂

racr335: That would be way too large for me, but if that’s what you like, then go for it.

MrsBuesleBee: ITA with you, but girl, your big, beautiful diamond is practically that size and it doesn’t look like a cocktail ring! Lol!
But I’m with you 100%, I think it’s the double halo and not the stone size that gives OP’s potential ring the over the top vibe. I think a solitaire would look best on her.

racr335: looks good on you. It’s gorgeous.
I know the feeling of growing my nails out. During thr process of taking mine off my nail ripped because my nail had become so fragile after a year of getting them done and not letting them breath.

i think it looks too big for you

You know, opinions are a unpredicatable thing. You have to chose what you love because it will be on your hand forever. You will get people who say too big and some who say go for it. They are not paying for it, wearing it, insuring it or taking care of it.
Get what you love!

I personally think that sans halo, it would look perfect.

Too big for me, but not for you given what you have said about your lifestyle.
I am not loving the warm color of the center stone though. I also think a stone that size can hold its own without multi halos clogging it up.

My ring is a little over 2 carats with a single halo and I have a size 6 finger. I think it is the perfect size…….
If you like it, go for it!!! If you like bigger rings then that’s your choice!

racr335: For me personally it’s too big, but, I’m a cluster fan and prefer the Soleste setting with much smaller centre stones for that reason. That’s my only issue though; I think the coverage is great (but again, I’m biased as I have quite a large cluster, so..).
If you love it, I would get it; different people have different tastes and personally I only buy things that please me, I couldn’t give a stuff what other people think.
