Hey Bees,
I wanted to get heels for my wedding shoes but I don’t want to kick them off right after the ceremony. These are super comfortable but I’m not sure if they really wedding material. I was thinking of adding a shoe clip to them so that they’re a little more festive. What do you think?

I have to agree with the PP…they just don’t look like wedding shoes to me. :-/

I have to agree 🙁 I don’t think they are very wedding-y. And I don’t like them that much in general. Sorry!

I actually like the style of them, but not the color. I am wearing similar shoes for my wedding (t-strap wedges), but in a blush color. They aren’t the world’s most glamorous shoes (I’ve been calling them “granny chic,” haha), but they’re comfortable, cute enough, and hardly anyone will see them, anyway.
Do the shoes you posted here come in ivory, blush, or silver? I think that would make them a better choice for your wedding.

I think a shoe clip really fights with the shoe – they already have a lot going on.

I wore purple mary janes for the wedding, I loved them. Wear whatever you like… really!

@PGsHotBride: This is the dress but I’m having the bottom altered (and flower removed) so that it’s not a “mullet style” dress. It’s just even across the bottom.

I am just doing simple flats, so I liked this shoe….it doesn’t scream wedding, but really unless you show people, nobody will be paying attention to your shoes.

I think they are cute, 40’s-vintage shoes. Yet, I don’t know if they go with your dress. And, if they are going to be showing, you should love them, because they’ll be in all your pictures. There are plenty of cute, comfortable shoes. I would keep looking.

Okay, so update on this… I’ve ordered a pair of Nine West shoes that hopefully will get me through most of the wedding/reception. We’ll have to see how they fit!

Aw, I think they are cute! And if they are comfortable too, then I would just go with them as is!

The dress is designed in such a way that will show off a beautiful pair of shoes. The shoes may be comfy but they are way too plain for the dress.

I don’t know if you can pull the shoes off with the dress since they will be such a prominent part of your look. With this dress, I think you’re going to have to have some pretty fab shoes to do the dress justice. If the shoes are too casual or don’t go with the dress, it’s going to be really obvious.
I totally understand wanting to be comfortable, though. My shoes are a 1/2 size too big, so that let me get some good gel insoles for them without making them too tight. That might be an option for you so that you can have more shoes to choose from. Just make sure that the heels are a comfortable height for you.
