Hey Bees,
I am trying to find a wedge shoe for the big day and am having the hardest time finding something that is not too weddingy (ie, so I can wear again!), but then again isn’t too casual. I came across these today and I really like them, but just can’t decide if they are way too casual. My ceremony is outdoors and my reception is in a Wildlife art museum, so comfort is key!

And my dress…

What do you gals think?

They are casual, but comfort is key as you said, and unless you lift your gown, you won’t see them anyway 😉
That, and a good photog can make them look like a million bucks to match your gown!

@Whoopsie Daisy: I like your thinking! Yeah, I figure people won’t really see them, but it seems most of the hive is leaning towards the too casual vote.
I may need to keep searching, searching!

Your gown is soooo lovely! My first thought is that the shoes you posted above are too casual. Not the whole shoe, but the buckles are a bit “big”. What about something like these?

@melisslp: Thanks for those ideas! I see what you mean about the buckle and these others seem better suited for sure. See, I just need the help of the bees – after searching for ever, I know some bees will have good suggestions :).

I think it depends on the tone of the rest of your wedding. They are super casual, and would be out of place in a really formal affair, but I don’t know what everything else looks like. Your dress, btw, is STUNNING.

I love love love your dress. You look so good in it. Have you thought about platforms. I wear them all the time. They are just as comfortable as wedges. I also like some of the pictuers of shoes they posted above. Those wedges would go great!

@wyomingbride – You’re welcome!! I think they would compliment your dress well! Sorry I didn’t give you the links. I searched “cream wedge” on google. Let us know what you decide! Happy Planning!!!

thanks girls for all the feedback – this is super helpful because I feel like I have been lost on the shoe search for a while.
@MissHoneyBun: I guess knowing the rest of the day would help! we are going for a “rustic chic” feel (yeah, i know that’s going out of style!)
and thanks everyone for such nice words about my dress!

@florencep: yes, definitely would consider platforms, as long as the heel isn’t super tiny (which is all I can seem to find). I live in a pretty remote area, so online is my only option.

These are the comfy wedges I changed into. They may have been too casual for my gown, but I don’t think anyone saw them.

Stuart Weitzman has some platforms with a pretty thick heel. That is what I bought. THey are all gold glitter. They do have a bunch of bridal shoes available on line.
