We were thinking of going to a st. lucia resort which is all inclusive, a total with plane tickets came to about $3,500 for 5 days, but is this totally outrageous or is this kinda typical of what people spend for their honeymoon?
It absolutely depends on specifically where, but I guess I am curious more of the typical amount spent, if anyone knows what that is. Curious what people typically spend for their honeymoon!!

I know I’ve seen people who spent 10k and higher on their honeymoons. I don’t think 3500 is outrageous unless its out of your budget. Hubby and I spent about 2k on ours but only because we didn’t have to pay for our hotel (was a wedding gift from my aunt and uncle).

I’d imagine plane tickets from Cali to St. Lucia are pretty expensive so no that doesn’t sound too bad to me.
We spent $4,000 on our 10 day/9 night honeymoon in Playa del Carmen. However, our flights were only about $400 each.

We are planning on spending about 5000 on ours. We are going to an all inclusive in Mexico for 9 days.
We were planning a trip to Europe but I just can’t get the 20 days off work that I wanted to so we are putting that off for a couple of years.

We spent 8k, so no that doesn’t seem outrageous to me. Although I don’t see that the average matters all that much, what is important is that you can afford it and think its worth it.

3500 is very reasonable. We are going to Bora Bora and Moorea for our honeymoon and between the flight and hotel alone we are spending almost triple that for 8 days. I say, you only get one honeymoon so SPLURGE!

We are hoping to come in under 6k for 2 weeks in Italy. Flights and hotels are 1/2 the cost.

We spent about that much on our honeymoon, and I don’t regret it at all. We really needed it, and even though it was a splurge, we still went for it

We must be really cheap lol Ours will be paid for by my In-laws and I believe we are looking at about $1000 for hotel and air fare from them so with everything else I’m certain we will be paying another $1000. So, we are trying for no more than $2000 total.
But, we are also planning to take a family disney cruise within 6months of the wedding so the kiddos can have a vaca ( part of why we downgraded the org wedding plans) so we aren’t going nuts on our honeymoon.
ETA: And that’s based on 5days in Vegas!

I don’t think that’s expensive at all. We are spending around $8000 to go to Hawaii and that doesn’t even include food, drinks or excursions

We spent $3,750 for ours. I think it totally depends on your budget – you will get answers from $500-$15,000.

I also don’t think this is expensive. However, it’s really all a matter of what you personally can afford and not what others do or do not spend. We’re spending $10k to go to the Maldives because it is our dream honeymoon.

That sounds like a good price for an all inclusive. I’m sure you could find a cheaper option, but most likely it wouldn’t be all inclusive. Once you add all the extra costs, it probably comes out to be the same or even a little more.

I don’t think that’s outrageous at all! Includes flight, stay and food/drinks? Awesome.

I don’t know how much St, Lucia is. You can easily do some research online to gauge prices. We are going to Thailand and Bali for 15 days and it was about $8700.
