I’m having a hard time picking flower colors for our reception, and the hive is always helpful, so again, I turn to you! Our main color scheme is eggplant, gold, and ivory. I would like the BMs to carry fall colored flowers, I think they would really pop against the eggplant dresses. Our ceremony is in a big Cathedral and all of our decor will be white, ivory, and touches of gold. For our reception, I’m having eggplant tableclothes with gold table runners and napkins. Would it look too busy to have the fall colored flowers in the centerpeices, or should I stick with white/ivory flowers?

I dont think so! We have two main colors: Purple/Apple Green. but accents of teal, orange, hot pink, cream, etc. =)

I say have fun with it! And it sounds beautiful for FALL! =)
Those (IVORY and GOLD) are really great “base” colors! You could put any color next to it and it would look great!

I love the combination of rich purple with fall colors. It’s so elegant and warm! Go for it!

I think it will be stunning! It will really make the colors pop to be up against a somewhat “neutral” backdrop. I say go for it! (And post pics, lol)

I’m all about color… my bridesmaid dresses are green and their bouquets will be green, white/ivory, yellow, and orange flowers…. but I’m not sure about eggplant with fall oranges and yellows, it seems like purple might not mix well with those…
That being said, Mrs. Apple Cider did navy dresses with bright mixed flowers, and it looked nice. so maybe eggplant could work similarly.

Thanks for the responses girls! I’m planning on making crepe paper flowers, which is why I’m thinking about this so far in advance. I’m going to start working on a mock up and post pictures later on!
btw, Amelia Bedelia books are the BEST!!!

@ILuvDance17: Ooh DIY. I think it’ll be really cool. Are you doing any specific tutorial for the crepe paper?
And Amelia Bedelia rocks! 🙂
