I know that I would freak out and quit exercising altogether if I went from doing nothing to working out 7 days a week…hell, I’d still have a really hard time with it. Keep your goals reasonable and build up, and I think you’ll be successful!

I’m doing the couch to 5k too 🙂 It’s my first time running and I’m loving it so far!

You need to give yourself at least two rest days. Your body only gets stronger when you give it time to heal from the stresses. Overtraining is just as bad as not training at all.

I would start with just the couch to 5k and maybe one or two days of strength training a week and drop the kickboxing. That seems like too much exercise to begin with and too much money!  Are you going to be doing a diet plan or tracking exercise and calories? It might be a good idea to stay on track with weight loss.

I think it’s too much.

Your body needs some rest days to recover.  You will benefit more with doing  less.  My current timetable is 3 days on 1 off.  If I’m really sore I will not go. My workouts are only ever 1 hour.

+1.

If you try and do too much too soon, you’re more likely to end up not doing anything because it become too daunting, or you become too sore!

I’m in the process of losing weight, so if you want someone to chat to or to keep you accountable, feel free to PM me.

You need two days a week of rest, or you could REALLY hurt yourself! How about 2 days/kickboxing, 2 days/running, and 1 day/strength?
