If you can afford it, and its in a good neighborhood with good schools why not?

to me, it depends on if you’re planning on having kids. I LOVE the house so I voted that it’s beautiful! But I wouldn’t get it personally because we don’t want kids so it’d be too much for me. We have a 2 br apt now & we don’t even use the 2nd room that often lol

Well the house is gigantic, but it just depends on your needs. Is it just the two of you or is their children involved? Will there be children? The house has 5 bedrooms, so if there’s no kids it seems a bit excessive. Although you could use one or two as home offices and guest bedrooms.

Also, the house has 5 bathrooms, which sounds wonderful, but someone has to clean all those bathrooms every week. Not my idea of a good time, but if you want 5 bathrooms then there you go!

so you entertain a lot? Because the kitchen and dinning room are massive, which is wonderful but you don’t really need all that space unless you entertain a lot, kwim? I forgot to check out the lot size.. I’ll go back and look at that.

@nonapkns:  Wow! That is a gorgeous house! I think you’re right about the staging being pretentious and not the actual house. That furniture and those curtains seem very formal (and not really my style), but I don’t think the house itself it pretentious. I don’t think it’s too big if you plan to have kids and want spare bedrooms. I think if you are able to afford it you should go for it!

That house is stunning, I’d buy it.  Although where I live in Canada that would be a million dollar+ home haha

The style is a bit middle aged but you can change that. I think it’s quite big but if you are ok with cleaning (or can get a cleaning lady) then I say go for it.

I love it but it would be REALLY expensive to furnish.

I love it.  I don’t think its too much at all, if you’re planning on having kids.  Especially since you’re not necessarily looking for a starter home either.  This home just screams “FOREVER HOME” to me.
