Hi Bees! I’ve been obsessing over having a blush pink wedding / reception dress. I couldn’t decided between a poofy gown or a slinky mermaid / sheath! I think I might get the poof for the reception and the sexy dress for the reception (easier to move around in!)
I’ve attempted two “sexy” dresses already – one came in HUGE and I had to return it (I did lose some weight unexpectedly right as I was ordering it, which did not help) because I didn’t even know what I would look like in it so I didn’t want to pay to alter it and risk hating it when I could return it. The other dress I ordered and was told was discotinued 🙁
This dress has beading that reminds me of a necklace my mom gave me for prom (she died shortly afer in an accident) so I think that really makes me like it. However, I imagined a bit more “poof” at the bottom. So, I need to know, is this too pageant?

janeblack: I would expect to see it more at a prom, than a pageant. And I attend A LOT of pageants. I think it’s gorgeous and would be a great reception gown.

janeblack: I absolutely love it. I’m wearing an evening gown for my reception as well, it’s actually pretty similar. I think you will look stunning, especially with the hair and makeup ideas you showed us!

I think it looks great, and the fact that it has special meaning to you makes me say just do it! It’s possible it could be altered some to have a little more poof added to the bottom?
