Is there any way you could move the ceremony up to 4? That might give you a little extra breathing room…

If not, it will still be fine. 🙂

It seems a bit early, can you have an after-party somewhere nearby for those that would like to celebrate a bit longer?

I think that does seem a bit too rushed and you may find that not everything is running exactly like clock work on the day of an it would be a shame not to really have enough time to celebrate and party.

It might be a little short.  Think, too, about if you will want to visit with all your guests at the reception and how many guests you’ll have.  Three hours might be too short if you need to visit with 100 people, eat, dance, throw the bouquet, etc.

I like the new plan. 3 hours for the reception would have been cutting it a little close.

@peachacid:  That’s what I was going to suggest.  Ceremony @ 3, pics, cocktails from 4-5 for your guests, then dinner/dancing at the original venue.

I like the new plan! My (first) reception was 5 hours and at the end I couldn’t believe it! We also had an after party at my parents housec, and a LOT of people came! You’ll enjoy the extra breathing room 🙂

As a guest I might feel a little rushed Frown. I would move your ceromony up. We didnt end our reception until 1 am and then we went to a bar after (yes I was still in my wedding dress… it was amazing!).

It also depends on your guest… if they are older and tend to go to bed earlier and arent partyers then you should be fine.
