I booked a suite at the hotel for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. At first it did seem weird. But, it gave my girls and I a great place to get ready the day of, left my house for the boys, and I could just leave everything in the hotel room and not have to worry about it. Housekeeping came after we left for wedding stuff, so when my husband and I got back after the wedding, everything was gorgeous and fresh again.
My mom and cousin stayed with me the night before, and they actually let me sleep on the bed and they stayed on the pull out couch. I didn’t ask them to or anything, and kind of felt bad. But I think this did make me feel less weird about it.

Totally not weird. But why don’t you just let the girls stay in there Sat night, and you and hubby get a special wedding night room? As others mentioned, bell hop can move your bags. And that way your girls don’t have to move their luggage in the morning or at night.
Just an idea!

@JrzyGurl – It’s the cost factor. The room I want is pricey (with a 2 night minimum), and I really can’t afford another one. I was trying to make it seem better by saying well I can use it for this this and that. Everyone will already have a hotel room anyway (its a semi-destination wedding)

I know…I looked into that too….honestly looking around at the prices I was even thinking about just going home!! (i live 15 min from dtown). But we decided that we needed to get a suite for our wedding night…so we booked the Francis Marion for that also.

I’m getting married June 25 2011 and doing the same thing! Staying in the suite with my sisters Friday night then all getting ready there in the morning!

That doesn’t sound weird, that sound smart! Good thinking 🙂
