Create a poll. Just so you know–I’m gonna click no. So is everyone else.

@dynamic_duo: Yes I vote no to walking down the aisle to that song. I luuuuurve me some Celine. And that song is a total guilty pleasure, but it’s been parodied to the point that it’s become a mockery of itself. Maybe I’m just sleepy. Maybe the filter’s come off because it’s almost 4:00 am, but I am pleading with you to not walk down the aisle to that song. People will talk about it, and I can guarantee they won’t be saying “What a beautiful song.”

So it’s not a “weird” choice, but it’s definitely not a good choice.

I think the problem with “My Heart Will Go On” is that 1) it’s SO heavily associated with Titanic that no one will be able to suppress the image of 80 year-old Rose tossing the Heart of the Ocean overboard; and 2) it’s just been made fun of so much. It may be a beautiful song, but it’s been seriously lampooned a zillion times.

Personally I think it’s just too loaded to touch… sorry.

@dynamic_duo: Cheese is fun. But have the cheese at the reception along with the wine. Pick something else for the aisle walk.

@MissHoneyBun:Yes, agreed. At the reception, not for the big walk.

@dynamic_duo: I sang that at my cousin’s wedding as she walked down the aisle.

I say do whatever your heart desires and don’t ask anyone else! 😀 I’m walking to my trio playing Pink Floyd. If I ran that by ANYONE – I would have a zillion no’s.

But, I simply do not give a damn.
