@chillinchillin:  I don’t think it would be. Picture?

    Like this V

    or this V

I think the second one is alot less flashy and acceptable.

Yeah, pictures would be helpful. It’s hard gather an accurate opinion based on your description alone.

Honestly, I think the dress is fine. flashy wise, but appears to be a tad short? But I don’t like the shawl. The dress + shawl combo don’t seem to go well together.

If you have something else then I’d wear something else. This is a pretty subjective thing and even if the bride doesnt think it’s too flashy one of outspoken family members might, either way why risk it

Is that a shirt or a dress?!?! Short, glittery and a white doesn’t seem like a good plan for a wedding.

Sorry, but I think the shawl is too casual for a formal affair. And the dress seems to be rather short, which, combined with strapless and sparkly, make it a bit too flashy for an evening reception. I’d suggest looking for something else.

I was at a wedding several months ago where numerous female guests were dressed for the after-party, not the wedding; super-short, tight, strapless, shiny dresses paired with 5-inch heels. I’m sorry, but that’s not classy and definitely not appropriate for an afternoon vineyard wedding.

I think it’s a bit too flashy for a wedding. Look at it as a good excuse to go shopping 🙂

I think you need to keep looking. It looks really short. That paired with sparkle and strapless… not good for a formal wedding.

Since it’s short and strapless, i would say don’t wear it. have you looked into renttherunway.com? you can rent dresses from them and it’s awesome. i’ve used them for a few different events and it’s nice because i don’t have to buy a dress for every event (if i were to buy a dress, it wouldn’t work for every situation).

I wouldn’t wear it. Too sparkly.

I agree with most others. The dress is cute, but the combo short/flashy/strapless is too flashy for a wedding.
