Just wanted to give everyone an update:
I officially decided not to talk to them about it. They came over on the weekend with some other friends, and they didn’t bring it up themselves. Like many of you have said, I don’t think they meant to hurt our feelings, but the prank was in very poor taste.
@ MightySapphire – I think that is why my husband was so ticked. Cleaning lipstick off of mirrors on your wedding night is not fun in and itself, especially when we only had kleenexes to wipe it off with (when we really needed cleaner and a rag). He was concerned it would cake on if we didn’t clean it, and we splurged on a nice hotel room for our wedding night, and would have been in big trouble if that lipstick didn’t come off.
@CircusPeanut – they have been dating for almost 10 years! However, both of them have adamantly stated repeatedly that they don’t believe in marriage, so my chance for a “revenge” prank (although I don’t think I’d do that) is pretty low 🙂
