Good day Bees,
Tomorrow is my big day –surgery! I’m anxious and ready to get it over with so I can get back to planning. I’ve had a major hang-up. Finding a bridesmaids dress that I like and the girls can afford has been a true challenge. I’ve been despirately trying to find their dress before I lose weeks due to recovery. No luck! I haven’t had much success in find a dress that compliments my dress (not matchy matchy), rewearable, and under 250. I think my major problem is committing and the other is I’m not that fond of bridesmaids dresses both are putting a monkey wrench in finding the perfect dress. Fast.
Before going under the knife, I wanted to give it another shot. What do you think? Is this a good option for girls of different sizes, a good fit for a modern, romantic, city wedding? Does it work with my dress? The colors of the top and bottom of the dress can be changed…colorblocking in play 🙂

It depends on what you mean when you say girls of different sizes. As a 22 no this tighter style would look horrendous on me. However as a 12-14 it would look awesome.
its a great dress

@samanthajkellie: Well, I have a shapely 18. She has an hourglass figure if that helps. Let me know what you think.
@MrsNeutrino: Yeah, this number is from Sarah Seven…I think its more than a year old. I’m sure you can find another highwaist skirt and a similar top. I really love it too but as you found out, its sold out, not compatable in the sizes that I need, and I’m sure that its out of the girls price range.
Do you guys think it would work with my dress?

Back home after a sucessful surgery! Yay! Thank God!
Can anyone let me know if they think this Bridesmaid or Best Man dress is A) appropriate for a semi-formal wedding (with nice accessories and shoes) and B) if it works with my dress?

I think this would work if you dressed it up a tad. I also think it works well with your dress. Also, I love it! It’s super cute.
Grats on your surgery!

I’m not too sure about the dresses. On their own, theyr’e both beautiful and lovely, but the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses seem more fun, edgy and flirty whilst the wedding dress says soft, flowy and romantic.
They would definately work for a semi formal wedding though, no doubt about it!

@Baimee: Thanks! I was scared about the surgery but so glad that its over and now I can recover and move on. I really like this dress too, but I wasn’t sure if it would go with my dress. As soon as I can get out of the house I will make a trip with a maid or two to try it on. Hopefully I can post pics to get more feedback.
@BerryBerry: I know what you mean, which is why I want your opinion. Maybe I can give my dress a little bit of fun/edge to make it work? I’m not too sure what I can do to accomplish that.
