Dont bother, I walk further than that outside to get from my work building to the staff room (staff room is a seperate building outside)! If you wanted you could provide a couple of giant umbrellas in case of bad weather for people to use between venues but no one is going to complain about a 0.2 mile walk. In fact i’ve been at weddings where the car park was further away from the ceremony than that!

Will your reception be immediately following the ceremony? Or will there be a gap of time between?

I don’t think you need ceremony – reception transport. However, where is the hotel you’re suggesting people stay at? If it’s not close to the reception area it might be nice to provide transportation to make sure people don’t drink and drive.

That’s great! I love hotel receptions, such a fun party!

I wouldn’t bother between the ceremony and reception location, but we hired a limo to pick us up from FI’s hotel and my parents house for our wedding that has the ceremony and reception in the same place. Is it necessary? No, but I figure it will make the day even more special and memorable.

That is a pretty short distance and totally walkable. It would probably take longer by taxi than by walking! You could mention on your invite or wedding website that they are really that close to each other so people know. I suppose you could set aside some funds for umbrellas if you do find there is a chance of rain on your wedding day.

Not needed when it’s so close! Like a PP said, the hassle of herding people into cars and driving will probably take longer than the walk! If it looks like it’ll rain I’m sure a lot of guests will byo umbrella but maybe providing a few would be useful too just in case.

Do you have anyone that would have difficulty walking? If you have a grandparent that couldn’t make it then I would find some alternative for their comfort, but you don’t have to do it for everyone in that case.
