I’m doing silk flowers because I can’t afford to spend $1000+ on real flowers.  I have already started my d.i.y. centerpieces for 10 guest tables, for my sweetheart and cake table, and I think they look amazing! I’m using roses, peony and a small amount of hydrangeas.   Each centerpiece was $18 dollars give or take.  I’m very proud of what I’ve done and that I’m being extremely frugal and cost conscious by doing just about everything myself.

I may do real flowers for my bouquet the day before the wedding by shopping at some local flowers shops and doing my own bouquet the night before.  Still thinking that through.

Basically I think each person needs to do what is right for them.  Each individual knows what their budget is and what is realistic for their circumstances, so don’t make anybody let you feel like you can’t entertain a more cost effective alternative to real flowers.  If you have people attending your special day that truly love and care about you, they will support you no matter what.

Me and Fiance choose not to be in debt behind a wedding.  When we get on that plane for our honeymoon, we can truly enjoy ourselves knowing there won’t be any bills from the wedding when we return.
