Wedges are fine. Brides wear all kinds of shoes – heels, wedges, flats, sandles. None of them are really more inherently bridal than the others. Besides pretty much no one sees your shoes anyway so if you like them that’s all that really matters.

I wore the same nude heels that I wear to the office on my wedding day. They were covered by my dress and I knew they’d be comfortable enough.  I’d say go for the wedges.

You’re pretty much the only one who is going to remember your shoes in a few years, so save your feet.

karapp :  I’m Polish so I know how long weddings can go on for ๐Ÿ˜‰ I bought myself two pairs of shoes for my wedding, my Badgley Mischka shoes that I wore for my ceremony and pictures (they’re just so beautiful!):

and then I changed into Bagdley Mischka wedges for the reception and danced the night away.

DISLAIMER: We got married in the US so the wedding wasn’t quite as long as your will be but I guess if you can swing the $ you can have the pretty heels for ceremony and photos and a more practical shoe for the reception.

karapp :  i bought badgley mischka wedges, and i think they are gorgeously bridal! a lot of wedges aren’t, but i the badgley mischka ones are very much intended to have the bridal feel of their other heels

I think wedge shoes are fine.  I’m planning on wearing wedges because I know my feet will hurt less.

karapp :  I wore wedges and I loved that my feet didn’t hurt!  Shortly before the wedding I strayed to have the same worry and then I also realized changing shoes can sometimes be tough for dress length.  Depends on how long your dress is I suppose.  I had so many compliments on my wedges and your feet will thank you when you can keep celebrating without painful feet.

Comfort is the number one priority in my opinion! Wedges can definitely be bridal. Heaps of brides wear them. Plus no one sees your shoes under your dress. Wear the wedges ๐Ÿ™‚

From one Polish bride to another- wear your wedges and don’t think twice, especially if you don’t want to change shoes throughout. I made the mistake of going to a wedding in Poland in 4.5 inch heels and still think about the pain! (It’s been 6 years lol)
