Mine does NOT! I am over it … but at first I really wanted him to. He didn’t even bring it on our honeymoon! We’ve been married a few weeks now and he hasn’t put it on yet.

My guy is not allowed to wear any jewelry at his work because it’s considered dangerous so he’s getting his ring tattooed so he has an “everyday” ring and I’m getting him a ring to wear outside of work.

YES he’s wearing it. He’s excited about it. It’s cute cause he’s not a jewelry guy. I also can’t wait for him to wear it so he is branded as mine 🙂

I am so glad you asked this because I was thinking about it this morning.  My Fiance is a chef so we’re not sure if it will be a good idea for him to wear his ring to work or not.  It’s not quite like the mechanic situation, there are plenty of chefs that do wear their wedding bands.  When we were talking about it, he said “I don’t think I’ll wear it to work but I’ll wear it when I’m with you.”  That sounds silly to me – what is the point of having a wedding ring if you aren’t going to wear it most of the time (I can’t see him wearing it when we are bumming around the house which we do a lot)?  I think in the end after talking it out, we agreed that he wouldn’t wear it while he was working, just put it in a safe place during his shift and then put it back on after.

Mine likely won’t. He was very up front about it and I’m pretty much over it. He can’t stand jewellery – won’t even wear a watch. I’m not really too concerned about it…we’ll still be just as married with or without a ring 🙂

Mine will, and he often comments that he is eager to finally wear it!

Mine probably will not wear his ring. When he was like 12 he got shot with a bb in his left ring finger, and he never got it taken out so his knuckle has a huge bump sticking out. I doubt he can get a ring on that would being huge.

Fiance will wear his ring, but he didn’t know you’re technically supposed to keep it on all the time.  He said he thought you were supposed to take it off to go to bed… because apparently that’s what his dad always did.  I just told him if he does that, he’d probably forget to put it on again, knowing him 😉

He said he will. He thinks it might be weird since he doesn’t wear jewelry, but I think he’ll be fine!

Fiance never wears jewelry so it will take some time for him to get used to it– but yes, I’m making him wear one, haha.  Unless he’s at the gym or playing basketball… that I can understand.  🙂

I don’t think he’s going to. He is a bike mechanic. I’m going to get him one though for the ring exchange. They’ve got cute mountain bike tread rings.

Ladies…this thread has been so comforting to me.  In Korea a lot of men don’t wear their rings (women too), so I got really confused when I first got here.  I asked Fiance a little while ago if he was going to wear his (in that angry accusing…’you better’ sort of voice), and he was upfront and said ‘no.’  He thinks a) after years of never wearing a ring it will feel strange b) other people might think he is strange.  I’ve been secretly quite upset about this because there is no safety reason why he wouldn’t be able to wear one (he is an in-office engineer) and in my background, not wearing a wedding rings is a very big no-no.  So thank you…all of those who shared your stories about your guys not wearing rings because I was thinking I was all by myself on this.  I’m still planning on indirectly encouraging him to wear his, but if he doesn’t, then maybe I can live with it if there are other men like him out there.
