Our heat is on. But we live in a house that’s split into apartments, and don’t have any control over the temperature. The landlady downstairs turns it on or off as she pleases and we just deal with it. It’s usually okay, but since it’s an old house certain rooms are pretty drafty, so even with the heat on you need sweater/slippers/blanket.
@KatyElle: It’s supposed to snow here on Monday too! Yiiikes!

Not yet. I live in northern Florida, so it does get cold 1-2 months out of the year, but no need for it yet.

Not yet. I layer clothes if I get chilly.

I voted other…. We live in Arizona and it doesn’t get that cold here. Our house is also awesome and in the summer it stays cooler inside and in winter it stays warmer inside. We will turn our heat on in dec/Jan when the low is below 35.

It’s cold here on the coast at night, but cold for me is very different as I am originally from Phoenix! We don’t even have our pilot light lit, but it got cold enough last night that I had to close my window, and even then my cats were freezing and had to snuggle with me all night.

Our heat is on very low. We are to get snow Saturday. I am so peeved at the weather right now.

Yeah its been on for about a week, but hasn’t actually kicked on yet. Our house is insulated pretty well. But, we are supposed to get snow tomorrow, so I’m glad we already have it turne on!

I turned ours on for the first time last night (really low). I HATE being cold so when it was in the low 50s outside and rainy, I needed a little warmth.
I turned it back off this morning though since we’ll be out of town this weekend. I’ll be curious to see what the apartment temperature is when I get home.

We haven’t turned ours on yet. It is getting pretty chilly in the house, especially in the morning, but we are just going to have to suck it up because I am not ready to pay a high gas bill yet!

Central Florida. It’s in the 80’s still. We typically won’t need heat until January. And even then it’s just random days.

It’s in the 40’s here. I’m freezing in our apartment, but we’re waiting to turn the heat on till we absolutely have to. We’re enjoying cheap energy bills!
Although I have broken out my space heater a couple of times. 🙂
No kids; just Husband and me in our apartment.

No heat yet! But as they say in Alabama, if you don’t like the weather, wait 20 minutes. We had a 49 degree night last week and I turned the heat on very low for that. I usually leave the whole system off when the weather is nice and just dress accordingly. I too, am a cheapa$$ when it comes to the power bill.
