It’s worth every penny! All Macs are. I know a lot of people are anti Apple for whatever reason but if you ask me, you can’t go wrong. You won’t regret your purchase, especially if you’re familiar with the operating system which seems to be the biggest pain for new Mac users.

I LOVE my MBP. I’ve had it for 3 yrs of law school, and while it may be slowing down just a little, I’m also on it for 8-12 hours a day taking notes, researching, and watching tv/surfing/etc. I’m so glad I spurged and bought it. I highly recommend it if you can swing it.

ETA- before this I’d only ever worked on a PC, but “crossing over” was easy and very quick to get used to.

It still freezes up sometimes.. but I am doing ok right now. πŸ™‚

I used Windows up until Oct 2010, when I had bought my macbook, it was easy to switch over, now I have trouble going back.

I LOVE my MacBook Pro! I’ve had mine for about 3 years now I think and have never had any issues with it. Prior to that I had another Mac and the only reason I had to get a new one was because the charger port broke. Also, I’m on my Mac pretty much all day and it doesn’t have any issues.

Love my macbook pro. I’ve had it since August 2007 (almost 5 years!) and its still going strong. whenever I’ve had issues Apple has taken care of it (sometimes with some prodding, but in general they are good…they replaced pretty much the entire casing which was like a 1000 dollar deal for free and when my battery started having issues they replaced it no questions asked). Love my mac- wouldnt trade it for anything!

I love my MacBook pro, too! I used to be a PC gal, but my Darling Husband is a mac guy all the way, so now we’re a mac family. I’d never want anything else at this point. Mine is only two years old right now, but the one Darling Husband had before this lasted for a full 5 years.

100% I am stuck using a windows laptop at work (admittedly lower-specced) and i absolutely hate it. It’s slow, *always* needs “updates” and is almost always virus-scanning something, making it even slower.

@misabell:  I would recommend the Macbook air over the pro…but it depends what you are using it for really…
