lol i can relate! i have a really young voice and i often have telemarketers call and ask to talk to my parents. except i dont want to talk to them so i usually say “no they’re not home” haha. The only time i got mad was when i got a telemarketing call at work and they said that. I was like #1 this is a business #2 i’m an employee and #3 i’m 25. haha.

@CorgiTales:  lol, “they’re not home” is easier than explaining that you’re an adult and sound young

People do that to Boyfriend or Best Friend and I too. Most recently it was him, someone came and asked for the home owner and he said “That’s me” and the person was like “Really?!” … Uh no? Just kidding?

I don’t mind looking younger then I am!

@missfireslayer:  I answer a lot of IT related calls at my job and I’m always afraid that I’ll be told to transfer to someone older.  Profs can be jerks sometimes, so I’m just waiting for it.  I think for the most part older people think I’m my age, but there are a lot of younger people that think I’m their age (high school seniors, college freshmen/sophomores).

A while back someone came to our door selling something but you had to be atleast 21 to buy it. The guy literally argued with me saying that I wasnt 21. Finally i told him to hit the road. SO frustrating!

@JessicaL:  I would have pulled out my driver’s license and been like “LOOK RIGHT HERE!” and then slammed the door in his face.  I’m mean like that.

I like your idea @beekiss2: HAHA. I’m 5′ tall and have a “young” face… I’m often mistaken for a high schooler and I’m 24. So yes… it sucks!

My favorite was when I was at a baseball game and went to order a beer. The cashier scruntinized my license and then told me I should wear make up and heels to make myself look older and that way I wouldn’t be given such a hard time. I just stared her. Lady, I’m at a baseball game, not a nightclub!

Another one, my girl friend is in med school right now and is very young compared to all the other med students. One of her patients said that she looks too young and her voice sounds “young”. She also told her she should work on her “professional voice”. Uhhhh, she can’t change her vocal cords!! Seriously, what is wrong with people??

@TinyTina: ugh i worry about this with my clients on the phone all the time. Like… I am aware that I sound like I’m 12 but I’m not. There really isn’t anything I can do about it!

I’ve got the opposite problem! I was talking to one of my friends from highschool (we were both 20 at this point) and her mom walked up and says “Oh! Are you one of Katies old teachers?” D:<

I dont even look old!
