    @Chrissy26:  Hah good point!

    I see lots of people posting about their kids, their new house, new job, new car, new purse whatever.

    I posted one picture when we got engaged, and that’s it, other than the ring showing up in pictures purely as it’s on my hand.

    i voted yes, but i guess that’s kind of a lie.  I posted one picture on FB when we got engaged.  It is all over the bee – but I guess that doesn’t really count.  It might be in an instagram picture but I’m not sure – I don’t use instagram very often.

    @HappyInLove11:  I don’t have my ring yet but I don’t plan on posting it on FB. For the most part, the girls I know haven’t shown off their rings on social media, even though they have super nice 2+ carats. It’s best to avoid people making assumptions about you, your financial situation, etc.

    That being said, I noticed that my pic from a Wedding Bee post shows up in a Google search for the specific ring designer and model. Ugh! Will be taking it off the Bee.

    @Jewelieee:  +1 Yes…people making assumptions regarding your financial situations…. None of their business 🙂 Cuz then they just end up asking to borrow money anyway…lol

    No, I don’t think so. I was much more excited to post photos of our actual wedding. (I also got engaged without a ring so I didn’t have a ring until the wedding. It probably wouldn’t have, but that might have made a difference.)

    You left off the poll choice of  “I don’t have facebook/instagram/twitter”. Although I am not engaged yet, I would not post pics of it.

    After the wedding I plan to deactivate my fb. I’m just tired of ppls kids, inspirational quotes, and ppl rooting on their football team. after the wedding will be a good time when i am done following vendors and such. i put a couple pics of my ring when I got engaged,a year and a half ago and I admit it was to brag. Now, I have deleted those pics and I’m so over fb now anyway!

    To the bees that are downright slamming people who post their pics on FB:

    I think you come off as borderline rude and incredibly judgemental AND you’re doing it on a site called weddingbee where people do nothing but state their opinions and post pictures of things.  I am completely baffled.

    I’d take endless pictures of someone’s ring on facebook over your snide (and completely hypocritical) comments any day.

    I posted 2 pictures of my ring when I got it, since people were asking. After that, no. After all, it doesn’t look different as time passes.

    @BeeG35:  I have been thinking about doing this also. However you can ONLY PM me right now so basically its just an outlet for people who dont have my number to contact me. I dont go on it anymore anyway. Only when i get a PM

    @larousse:  same here!  I will post it here and not feel awkward. 🙂

    I like to see others’ rings on fb, just not my own, lol.

    @Swizzle:   exactly. The only reason I have it is cuz so many businesses and family use primarily now. All I do is lurk and creep and I don’t even wanna do that. Its not that useful other than checking business hours or looking st something Future Mother-In-Law asks me if I saw, which is usually somebody’s video of their baby. UGH! Can’t wait to get rid of it.
