(Closed) Is your SO/Fiance/Husband…

Definitely! We're get along awesomely and have everything in common and always have fun together

Most likely! We have a great relationship, but there could be someone else more suited as a friend!

Probably?! We'd be good friends at least... We'd sometimes fight, but best friends do that too!

Maybe. We get along well, but without the physical aspect, there might not be quite enough!...?

Probably not. We get along, but the attraction/physical part and attraction is pretty important!

Highly doubtful. What's a relationship without sexual attraction?? I have other friends for that!

Definitely not! I have other best friends already! Physical/sexual attraction is necessary!

I'm not sure... hmm... It's pretty difficult to distinguish the two from each other, so I can't tell

I have more than one "best" friend. They're just... different. So this doesn't apply to me really

DH and I were friends first, then best friends, and THEN we started dating after all of that, so he’s definitely my best friend.

He would absolutely be my best friend. We’d have so much (nonsexual) fun together! We are alike in every way, so we would have tons and tons of adventures and never, ever fight. LOL.

My Fiance is in Afghainstan and he is away the majority of the time so we have built a strong bond because sex is a non issue. We dont have sex as a way to become close and I am thankful for the distance because we have learned more about each other. I know it would have happened in time but I am glad we had this time to really court each other and get our issues out of the way and build a stronger relationship.

We are making it through the most difficult times (him being injuried and being away) if we can do that then their is nothing we cant get through together.

Fiance has been my best friend for almost 13 years, I can’t imagine us not being best friends. We’ve been together for nearly a year out of the 13 and we’re still besties, nothing is going to change that.

Definitely thats how our relationship started.. Friends first for over a year and I didn’t see him in “that way”.  It wasn’t until he invited me to his grad and I saw him more than a friend.  He is my best friend.  Even if we ever divorced (which will never happen) I would still see us being friends after.. Just because we have so much in common similar beliefs/interests/values etc..

He’s definitely my best friend no matter what, he tells me almost everyday “I know your my best friend because…”.
Anyway I was sick for 2 months and we had no sexual contact but he was still there for me, holding me, loving me day and night all that time, I imagine that is what it would be like to just be friends.

This whole question makes me think about what we’ll be like as an old married couple and the sexual part of the relationship dies down a lot or maybe completely. I know we’ll still be best friends.
