FH is an artist…he’s got art stuff in the bedroom, since the only other option is the living room (small apartments FTW), and I don’t want our guests to see all that first thing. Doesn’t bother me too much since we’re the only ones that ever see the bedroom. The bright side is that the apartment is decorated with several really lovely paintings. He’s very talented 🙂

No, but 99% of the time, his desk in the home office looks like a hurricane hit it. I leave it be.

@okqueenbee:  Both my SO and I are avid hunters. Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of the “trophies” I’ve taken but I’d much rather have them in the basement than upstairs. Unfortunatley right now, just about EVERYTHING is upstairs. And, the cat keeps trying to get the ducks…

@ms_margarita:  We also have guitars all over. He has 6 of them and a mandoline, and a giant electric keyboard…and we live in an apartment!  We ended up “decorating” by sticking the guitars on the walls with holders, because we literally had no floor space for them!

Darling Husband has a family business that goes back generations. He has scale models (toys basically), of every piece of equipment/machinery that the business has ever owned, going back generations. Some of them are very expensive and rare, but to me his office just looks like a little kid forgot to put away his toys. I allow 6 to be in our living room tastefully displayed like art. The rest are relegated to his home office. When little kids come over we have to shut the door otherwise they see all the toys and have been known to cry when they arent allowed to play with them lol

@okqueenbee:  SO is into hunting and reloading his own ammo. He built a huge reloading bench which was beautifully done and I’m proud of his talent but when I say this thing is huge I mean HUGE.

@StephieBee:  +1000

I do agree. I see this often and I don’t think it is neccessary. 🙂

Currently in the middle of our condo is a putting green, a “smash bag” my full length mirror (leaning up against the bar, not the wall) and a bunch of golf “training tools” as well as his clubs. We live in Canada so there’s only about 4-5 months of golf, and so the other months Darling Husband takes to practicing every day in our living room. We live in a total guy pad.

Yes, my SO’s hobbies are annoyingly taking over our entire apartment. He loves video games and building Legos. He proudly displays all of his video game systems dating all the way back to the first one. They are all over our living room. We have an entire organizing system that is devoted to plastic bins full of Legos, and on some of our shelves we have Legos that he has built and doesn’t want to take apart. We also have a bookshelf with over 300 video games on it. We currently have a roommate in the second bedroom of our apartment, but he is moving out in August, and SO (and his hobbies) will be moving into the extra bedroom. He asked me recently if I’d like to take half of the room for my desk, but I told him that his stuff being out of the main area will make me happy, and that I’d rather not have to look at it all day! LOL

Agreed.

I’ve been a bit bummed about surfing the bee the last couple of days too.  I try to comment and give imput on as many polls as I can because sometimes the bride is weighing heavily on a decision, but a few of the polls I have posted recently just went dead.

I turn to the bee for imput when I don’t want to pester my coworkers, friends, or family about ANOTHER of my wedding/fashion questions and it seems like I am not getting the help that I am looking for…

@okqueenbee:  Yes to the RC Cars, while they don’t take up too much living space, he has most of them stored in boxes, but there’s tons of them, and tons of teeny tiny parts!!! and he doesn’t want to just throw them out, because he spent a lot of money on them. But yet he still doesn’t ever do anything with them anymore, same for the electronic helicopters… And also all his Paintings that he’s done, but “doesn’t know where to hang them just yet.” And little drilling knick knacks from work, “im gonna turn this into a coaster, trailer hitch, ashtray etc… I think that’s about it. lol

@antisocialite:  guests arent paying attention. Her Fiance and my Fiance have 2 different names. And we are in two different states… i guess people didnt think there would be another person with my name.

@iarebridezilla:  haha maybe!

@julies1949:  Oh No! Thats awful. My Fi has a very common name but that didnt matter but no duplicates on either registry for him.

@okqueenbee:  he has two sets of antlers i have allowed because they are kind of hidden. I admit i like rustic decore so it doesn’t bother me that much. But NO HEAD MOUNTS! I cant have a creature staring at me while i watch my stories.

Yes! We have dead computer parts all over the house. Not to mention that he keeps ordering bigger speakers for the living room, which he’s turned into a theatre. There’s no room for a bookshelf because every wall has speakers!
