Mine is. It was my grandfather’s and it is engraved with my grandparents’ first and last initials (pre-marriage initial for my grandmother) with their wedding date. When I get it resized I will make sure they don’t touch any of that. I am not sure if I will engrave it more or leave it with just theirs.

Mine is has his initials plus 29th June 2017, our wedding day. His has my full name plus wedding date, – I am a 3.5 ring and he was the biggest size they go up to!

My engagement ring is not engraved.

Ours are both engraved with “This is it”

On our first date when we were saying goodbye “this is it” was scrawled in sharpie on the fence behind me and he noticed and pointed it out. Our second date was at a bar with a neon sign that says “This is it’. So over time it sort of became our thing.

Mine says “Bubby” His says “My Love”

I have 2 wedding bands, the diamond one was too thin to engrave but my plain RG band is 3mm so it was engraved.

We have not chosen rings yet. But I am hoping against hope they can be engraved. So far what goes with my ring cannot be. We keep looking. But his definitely will have this engraving: “Amor morte potentior”
It means: love is stronger than death.

tinneranne2 :  My fiancé’s wedding ring is tungsten and it’s engraved, so… Maybe it depends on the jeweler.

My rings aren’t engraved but they are super-thin bands, so I’m not sure they even could be. My fiancé’s ring is engraved on the inside, though — it’s got the month/day listed for our first date, day he proposed, and our wedding date, each separated by little engraved starbursts. He didn’t really care about having it engraved, but I wanted his ring to be more personalized, and I told him he could use it to remember our anniversaries, which he agreed could be useful. 😉

My engagement ring is engraved with my future initials 🙂 Down the line when we buy wedding bands I really want to surprise him with getting “I love you” and “I know” since he’s a big Star Wars fan!
