Our reception is going to be at Paula Deen’s restaurant The Lady and Sons. We’ll have our own floor, but we’ll have to go through the main entry of the restaurant to get there, and the restaurant is always PACKED- but I kind of like that because I think if I were eating dinner somewhere, it would be fun to see a bride and groom come in!
I entertain thoughts of PD showing up at the restaurant that night for some reason and then, upon hearing there’s a wedding taking place, coming down to see us and posing for pictures with us. LOL. Dream on!

it would be so much fun to see a bride and groom come into a restaurant i was eating!
mine’s not quite famous, but it is at the zoo! so random zoogoers will be able to see glimpses of our ceremony. best of all, it means we get to take photos in front of our favorite animals!

Haha, hardly. But that is part of our venue’s charm.
Very cool that you’re doing it somewhere famous. 🙂

I was married in my boarding school chapel. My school was used at the setting for the move School Ties with Brendan Frasier, Matt Damon, and Ben Afflek. So kind of famous.

My venue was in the news two years ago but not for something good…It’s the resort AIG execs went for a “retreat” week of extravagance right after they got a government bailout. It created a minor scandal.

My venue is used for movie filming all the time,.(in fact movie filming is the majority of it’s business). Movies and tv shows such as Hook, Bugsy, The Mask, Charlie’s Angels, Hotel for Dogs, CSI, 90210, 24 Ugly Betty and tons of music videos have been shot there. Currently they are shooting a new Ryan Goslin and Carey Mulligan movie there called “Drive”.

I swear every second person who asks about my venue goes, “Oh wow, that’s where Sarah McLachlan had her wedding reception!”
