I guess I would consider ours in the “fall” part of September.  I kept my light pink as my color, but added a deep purple.  I think it will still be pretty regardless.

We were 9/25, so technically the “fall” part of September… but it was 85* and humid the day of our wedding!

Ours will be the summer part, but after poring over almanacs, it looks like the weather averages in the low 70s, with lows in the high 60’s and highs in the low 80’s.  Pretty much perfect for us!  Our colors are colbalt blue and yellow, which I think isn’t super season-specific.

Mine is 9/28 which counts as fall.  We are in upstate NY, and usually the “peak” weekends for foliage are in October.  I’m glad I have this September 28 to look around and see what it might look like next year.

Like sarahbabs, I’m really thinking about cobalt blue, although I might do an orange accent instead of yellow.  I think that would look good whether the leaves on the trees are greeen or orange/yellow/red.

Having a hard time really finalizing what the colors will be, but looking forward to the Fall 2011 bridal magazines to see pictures and hopefully respond to something . . .

@Ms. Dove:  Oooh yay cobalt!  How are you planning on incorporating it?  It is such a strong color.

We are hoping for either Saturday (9/1) or Sunday (9/2) of Labor Day weekend, so still summer for us.  (The date depends on the availability of the venue and church).  I have no idea the color scheme yet as we are still deciding on a venue.

I really like it for the bridesmaids dresses.  I’m thinking a deep shade of cobalt, not too royal blue, closer to a bright navy.  Does that make anys sense?

We are getting married in a historic building that has a ballroom that’s beautiful all on its own.  I think I’ll add some Saratoga water to the tables (we’re in Saratoga, and the bottles are a beautiful deep cobalt), but otherwise keep the centerpieces fairly neutral/simple.

And if I do go with this, I would love a pair of cobalt shoes under my dress 🙂

How are you using it in your wedding?  It is a very strong color, that’s why I think I need to see pictures where it works, before I commit . . .

@ms.oregon.state:  I am actually hoping to do mine around 9 months before.  We are having our wedding on a holiday weekend so we want to give our guests plenty of time to plan ahead.

@ms.oregon.state:  I read in several sources that you should aim for 6-9 months for holiday weekends and destination weddings.  So sometime within that timeframe should be alright.

Ours is definitely the summer portion being that it’s September 1st however we are doing an “in between” theme. Colors are eggplant and green, but with burnt orange as an accent and we are (I think) going to incorporate twigs and green apples in to the centrepieces as well which have a more fall feeling to them.

we’re 9/24 in cleveland.  i really wanted a fall wedding but my father (who’s a professor) teaches in october, so we bumped it back to the last weekend in september.  it’s technically autumn and our color palate (plum, scarlet, and copper) reflects that, but the weather itself could go either way.  however, it’s a fully indoor wedding, so i figure i can make it feel like whatever season i want!

we mailed our S-t-Ds in mid-february (almost everyone, including ourselves, is traveling to the wedding).
