I recently had a horrible experience with this bridal shop, so I thought I’d post my review for others to see. BEWARE! If you want more information, please PM me.
I chose my wedding dress from Isabelle’s in early December 2011. Although I knew it was THE dress, I felt a bit put on the spot as they offered me 20% off if I bought it that day. I put down my 50% deposit and was told it would be here in June-July.
Fast forward almost 8 months… and my dress finally arrived (end of July 2012)! I chose not to get my alterations done at Isabelle’s as I didn’t really enjoy my shopping experience there. I took my dress to a different place, where the salesperson couldn’t believe that my dress had taken so long to arrive. Until they saw that I had bought it at Isabelle’s… the salesperson explained to me that Isabelle’s actually holds your money to pay off other dresses, then orders your dress at a later date. At first I didn’t believe this person… until I saw on the tag that my dress wasn’t ordered until middle of MAY 2012?!? Totally unacceptable. So now my wedding is 3 weeks away and it is a huge rush to get alterations done on it, when in reality it could have been here in March or April. I can’t believe I gave this business my money. I’m surprised they’re still in business actually…
If only I had known…

awww… that really sucks. At least it’s here, you will have the alterations done… and they gave you a discount. I know, it doesn’t make it much better.
I got an unpleasant vibe when I went in there, but I chaulked it up to the fact that I am not very girly and into the whole ballgown wedding dress thing, so my saleslady kept bringing me these ugly expensive dresses and I was like… “no!”
I shopped at Tiffany NY Bridal on East Hastings. Very down to earth and reasonable prices.

Wow, that is unacceptable. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I got my prom dress there. Experience was OK, nothing special. Dress was $350 and alterations were $300. My mom almost cried. We ended up omitting a few details to bring the price to $200, still ridiculous though. So I believe OP. Sorry your experience was bad 🙁

Hmmm that’s unfortunate sorry to hear that. I went to that shop when they had a couple sample sales and we found a couple stunning bm dresses for super cheap. They were really nice to me but some shops do pressure brides.

There are a lot of local shops that are super amazing and patient. I visited a lot of stores along the way to my dream dress. I loved the experience of shopping and wearing beautiful gowns my problem is I am an indecisive person so I second guessed myself along the way. Some shops I highly recommend – everything but the groom in Langley, Ancas bridal in Coverdale,Tiffany’s bridal in vancouver, And ivory bridal in Langley.Or if you’re looking to rent or consign check out MJm weddings she custom makes gowns as well
