I have a wedding in June that I am going to be a bridesmaid in. She has chosen the F14847 in Coral Reef.My question is, sense I have to travel a long ways (I’m traveling from AK) I would realllly like to cut back on funds so I don’t have to take out of MY wedding fund so I was looking for advice on buying a used size 22 dress (I’m a size 6) or if anyone is selling one. The first fear I have is if I get the size 22 if the dress will not be able to be sized in without ruining the structure of the dress. I sew a lot of my clothes so I am aware of this possibility, but maybe someone has gotten lucky and succeeded in the drastic sizing. Summing it up: 1) If you have a size 6 coral reef dress in F14847 for less than $100 I will buy it off you 2) Will this sizing be too drastic to even bother? oh and the AYAEL9 in black size 7 would also be something I need to buy.

akkaer1: I think the size 22 would require that you take the dress apart completely and recut it. Taking it in at the seams only would likely end up with the draping off center.

DB Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are designed to only be taken in two sizes, so I don’t think taking a 22 down to a six would work.
here is a size 10 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Davids-Bridal-F14847-/291095840131?pt=Bridesmaid_Dress&hash=item43c6aa0583
