I have been purchasing all of my jeans from Torrid for YEARS. Since I started off in a 12 at like 22 years old then going up to an 18 almost a 20 last year(I’ll be 29 in november). Now I have lost over 50lbs since last year and gradually gone down in jean sizes. I have a size 14 currently but they are falling off. I know a size 12 is borderline plus size. I plan to buy a pair (probably my last, as the lowest size they sell is a 12) of jeans from Torrid tomorrow. Do you guys know anywhere else that sells quality jeans for $60 or less in size short (im 5’3) that would carry a size 12? I like the stretchy tight skinny jean feel. I have no ass and my legs arnt fat.all my weight is in my gut. Lol I could always shop is those juniors storesbut those jeans never fit me right. They are always way too long, give me major camel toe, or fit everywhere except they give me muffinntop. UGHHH. Someone help me out here!!!!

eeniebeans: old navy gaps at the thighs on me
julies1949: no I haven’t. My mom actually only wears those jeans so I guess i always thought they were “mom” jeans lol even though I’m a mother of 2 myself.
I ended up purchasing 2 size 12 short skinny jeans from torrid today and also 2 size 12 skinny jeans from charlotte russe (juniors clothing store). The ones from torrid actually had some room in them which made me a little worrid that with my weightloss they won’t last me that long. I’m going to end up exchanging one of those for a bootcut cuz id rather have atleast 1 bootcut in a group of jeans than all 4 skinnies. The charlotte russe jeans don’t really have any wiggle room but they button n zip good and don’t give me camel toe or muffin top. I was impressed. 2 of those were cheaper than 1 pair at torrid lol

I got some nice jeans in a shorter size from eddie bauer before. Even though I currently am 22 years old and the style was a little more mature, the jeans looked fantastic on my figure.

WarrenWE: i swear by New York and Co. they have petites and always fit me perfectly! i’m 5’3 too. they also last forever, i’ve only ever had to give away pairs of jeans because i got new ones and needed the closet space. never because of wear/tear.

WarrenWE: hmmm.. I am a size 10-12 but 5’9″ most of my jeans are from Kohls or JCPennys. I also buy from American Eagle. I wouldn’t know any where about SHORT lengths because I have the opposite problem always needng to shop for LONG, but usually where they sell Long they Sell Short.
If you are concered about loosing weight why go and spend good money on jeans that won’t fit you. my suggestion would be just go to Target or KMART walmart.. wherever and just buy some pants that fit you and spend like $20 and then when you get to your goal weight that’s when you buy the good stuff and pay a little more
Just a suggestion

MrsGlover: I’m not dieting or trying to lose weight. I lost all of this weight due to a newmedication I wasput on in march. It just basically melted of like magic. So I really don’t have a goal weight. I was happy and content at a 14 but I guessim happier at a 12. Lol I’ve always dreamt of being on the skinnier side or more “average”. My weightloss has slowed down a bit over the past month I’ll say. I really have no clue when it will stop and how much i will ultimately lose. I think I’ll be wearing the jeans I purchased for awhile. Hopefully all of fall and part/most of winter.
