You’re not crazy. That would drive me nuts too. Part of it is the size, and that other part is because the pave of your ering makes it a bit thicker. Did you have a jeweler make your band? That’s the route I would go to ensure that that thickness of the wedding band matches that of the ering.

Unfortunately I’d say they don’t look very compatible together although I love your simple band on its own.

Yeah it’d drive me nutso too. I’d take it to a local jeweler and have them measure how deep the shank of your engagement ring is. Then look for a plain band around that same depth so that they’re both the same height off your finger.

No – that would bother me too. Send the band back and have one made by a shop or vendor where you can also send your engagement ring for a perfect match. I had Jewels by Grace make a setting for a diamond ring to match my wedding band (so the opposite of you) and it’s perfect shape and thickness wise. futureslindy :

I like the last comment as a great option. You could also have a jeweler add metal to the interior of the band to thicken the profile height to match your e ring.

I was going to second e-weddingbands. My engagement ring is fairly thin (1.7 mm wide), but thick (1.7 mm thick). I got the 2 mm heavy domed band, and it’s also 1.7 mm thick and very substantial for a thin band.

Can you get stargems to make your band? They would have the exact measurements of your engagement ring and could match the band to it.
