Bqqkworm:  I have had a rose gold ring from him for a year so that is no help.  But I just received my white gold ring from his yesterday.  He uses a white gold and palladium mixture that does not require redipping but instead a polish every so often to keep it shiny.

My ring was made by David and it’s 18k white gold with rhodium. I’ve had it about 3 months with continuous wear. It’s still perfectly bright white.

I have had my ring since January and it is as  beautiful as the day I received it.

This actually helps me a lot. I’m thinking of getting a ring by David Klass and I’m ALLERGIC to palladium!!!! Oh no… Now I’m reconsidering.

Bqqkworm:  apparently there’s something called 19k white gold which is white gold mixed with a little platinum. I hear that doesn’t ever need to be redipped so that could be what he does.

It depends on the person wearing the ring, everyone has different levels of acidity in their skin . Typically a white gold ring needs redipped every 6 months to a year give or take.

So sorry to hijack the thread and go off topic, but CookieLady:  I’m surprised to hear that you are allergic to Palladium as it, along with its near relative platinum, is always being touted as being super hypoallergenic. If you wouldn’t mind obliging me, do you get the same type of reaction from platinum or titanium? I have one palladium solitaire ring but I plan to sell it actually and haven’t worn it enough to have experienced any issues. I have however had some minor issues with the lower k gold alloys, and was thinking of replacing the jewelry that I’d like to wear most often with platinum, but I’ve never worn it before. I have sensitive skin so now seeing your post makes me wonder if I should just stick with sterling silver or 18k+ gold even though those alloys are not nearly as high in purity as pt, in the sense that the alloys in pt and pd are all from the pt group – – as far as I understand it anyway! 🙂

I’m allergic to a lot. I am also allergic to platinum. I have honestly never worn anything with titanium. My allergies are weird. My allergies include tylenol and iodine!! If it says hypoallergenic… I stay away. I know that sounds weird but a lot of “hypoallergenic” products contain iodine.

MrsSparkleBee13:  I am looking at getting an 18k white gold setting from David. Did you have to ask for the Rhodium or does he normally rhodium plate them? Did he ask you for your preference?
