So I surprised my SO by taking him 2 hours away on a 3.5 hour scenery boat cruise. You get to see all wonderful fall colours. Originally we were planning to be alone but his sister wanted to come with her husband too so I agreed to get them in on it.
It was beautiful but a bit cold. I noticed that SO had something in his coat pocket and i figured he brought the ring with him just in case if that “moment” came. Well it didn’t LOL
When we got home we both walked our dog. He still had it in his pocket. We came back, had dinner then he wanted to see a romantic movie and we did. During the movie we had some wine and we cuddled and it was just so comfortable and amazing. I left to use the washroom and heard him running to the closet (where his coat was) and run back quietly LOL. I came back but we didn’t get back in that same comfy position as we had before. After movie we went upstairs to cuddle and go to sleep.
This morning when he went to have a shower first I noticed that his drawer beside the bed was a bit opened so i went to close it and saw the ring box there. I didn’t open it because i don’t want to see the ring before he gives it to me and just closed his drawer.
After I had a shower I looked to see again if it’s still there and he took it and I guess moved it somewhere else.
This morning while on my way to work he mesaged me that someone had broken into his car and took 10$ in change. I guess he forgot to lock the car and kids got in. I asked him if they took the ring because i didn’t want him to know that i knew he had it on him yesterday and the last place i knew where it was and i told him was the car. He said, no that he moved it yesterday and had it on him all day. Then I acted surprised and said: Oh you were planning something and i ruined it 🙁
He said that he was looking for a perfect moment… he said that the moment came and it was perfect when we were watching a movie but the ring wasn’t close so he went to get the ring when i went to washroom but apparently the perfect moment didn’t come back after.
So yeah… it almost happened… I am kinda glad it didn’t because it would suck to learn this morning that things were stolen from the car.

@AlwaysSunny: No Kidding! He said himself that he is so happy that he had it on him, but if it happend one day earlier, the ring was in the car! I had told him that it’s obvious I can’t trust him with this ring and that he should just give it to me so I can watch it every minute ! LOL

@futuremrsk18: I completely agree with you.
It’s exciting to know it is almost happening but at that point I would just want it to happen. My mind set is being asked no matter when will make that moment the perfect moment. I am a waiting bee too. Can’t wait for the proposal story and pictures of the ring.
